LRP is in search of an Assistant General Manager to support and assist the retail General Managers with managing day-to-day operations of the dispensary in accordance with state and local laws and standards set by Lazy River Products.

Required Job Qualification: 2+ years of proven retail management/supervisory experience; 5+ years of retail customer service experience.
Important Notice: This is not a remote or hybrid position and requires 100% on site availability.
Core Tasks and Responsibilities –
- A key member of LRP’s Retail Leadership Team.
- Provide the GM with assistance for maintaining and exceed all sales related goals.
- Assist with overseeing all aspects of running the retail dispensary business unit.
- Assist with coordination with other business units (cultivation, marketing, finance, wholesale and product manufacturing) for cross reference, internal product delivery and product development initiatives based on customer input and feedback.
- Assist the GM’s initiatives to maintain and exceed sales-related goals, ensuring the dispensary remains competitive in the market.
- Provide superior customer service for vendors and guests.
- Organize and respond to all customer complaints, requests, concerns, suggestions, and act when necessary to resolve conflicts.
- Assist with overseeing product returns, coordinating with the GM and Inventory Manager to ensure quality control and product integrity are maintained.
- Assist the GM’s responsibility for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive training program for all retail roles.
- May assist with personnel timekeeping, scheduling, performance reviews, disciplinary or corrective action, and any other HR-related policies and procedures the company has established.
- Assist the GM’s responsibility for conducting reoccurring leadership meetings to improve processes and communication.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for dispensary staff, maintaining a compliant, productive, and clean environment.
- Ensure that staff are well-informed about products, services, policies, procedures, industry news, and regulatory updates.
- Assist with ensuring there is adequate supervision and leadership coverage for each shift.
- Assist with daily communication to Inventory Manager, who is responsible for managing a fully traceable inventory system, ensuring proper classification, storage, and reconciliation with METRC and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel between company retail locations, including providing management coverage across locations.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- At least 2 years of proven retail management or supervisory experience required.
- At least 5 years of retail customer service, customer relationship management, or equivalent experience required (such as CRM software). or equivalent retail supervisory experience).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- College Degree preferred.
- Adult-Use Massachusetts Retail cannabis industry experience preferred.
- Experience with Dutchie or other Seed-to-Sale POS experience is preferred.
- Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base is a plus.
- Retail store work environment.
- Must be able to work on your feet for duration of shift.
- Must be able to work without leaving workstation excessively outside of regular break.
- Must have the ability to perform work related activities for up to 8 hours a day including repetitive motions and use of hands.
- This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over, and/or crouching.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds.
- Administrative — Knowledge of administrative tasks and inventory database.
- Computer Software — Knowledge of Windows OS, basic computer navigation, and Office 365 applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Knowledge and understanding of state and local cannabis laws and how they apply to the operations of Lazy River Products.
